simple, clever, sleek
Based in West Vancouver, I specialize in creating bespoke residential architecture that balances contemporary elegance with functionality. My design philosophy is rooted in a deep appreciation for context—each project is an opportunity to interpret the natural and built environment through thoughtful design. Whether shaping homes on rugged terrain or integrating structures into serene landscapes, my work seeks harmony between architecture and its surroundings.
With over a decade of hands-on experience in residential construction and structural design, I bring a unique perspective that bridges creativity with technical expertise. This practical foundation enables me to turn design challenges into opportunities, resulting in spaces that are both visually striking and intuitively livable.
I believe that the most successful projects emerge from a meaningful collaboration with clients. Through open dialogue, I strive to understand not only their functional needs but also their unspoken desires—the subtle, intangible qualities that make a space feel personal. This process ensures that each home is a genuine reflection of its inhabitants, tailored to their lifestyle and aspirations.
My work prioritizes clean lines, purposeful forms, and timeless materiality. The design process emphasizes simplicity and elegance, where every detail is intentional, contributing to a cohesive and refined architectural language.
Serving clients in British Columbia, Ontario, and the USA, I am committed to delivering design solutions that are innovative, thoughtful, and enduring.
About Luis
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, I discovered a passion for arts and design at a young age—a passion that would shape my creative journey. Before earning my Architectural Technologist diploma in 2013, I ran a woodworking shop where I handcrafted modern furniture using only traditional joinery techniques—no nails or screws—focusing on precision and craftsmanship. I also gained hands-on experience in residential construction, working with concrete, framing, and finishing carpentry.
This blend of creativity and technical expertise became the foundation of my design philosophy. I firmly believe that to draw, you must first understand how to build. This perspective allows me to create thoughtful, functional homes where form and constructability go hand in hand.
After more than a decade of designing modern homes in Ontario, my family and I relocated to British Columbia’s West Coast. Inspired by the region’s mid-century modern architecture and breathtaking natural scenery, this new chapter has sparked fresh creativity and deepened my commitment to designing homes that are both innovative and timeless.
